The goalkeeper:
The Goalkeeper is perhaps the most demanding position in soccer for reasons. To be effective, the goalkeeper, must participate in the prevention of goal scoring chances inside and outside of the penalty area. In addition to play on the goal line it is important that the goalkeeper have exceptional field play. To maximize your goal keeping experience, South Sound Goalkeeper Academy will incorporate these aspects into each camp.
For the three day camp, the goalkeeper will have intensive technical training and tactical decision making.
Technical: catching, boxing, diving, crosses, breakaway saves, distribution, deflection and footwork
Tactical: reading the game, breakaway saves, directing the defense, and distribution

COACH/DIRECTOR, Arlene McMahan
Played collegiately for the University of Washington and was a member of the 1985 US West Regional Team at the Olympic Sports Festival. Head women's soccer coach at The Evergreen College and has a USSF National "B" License. Received the nickname of "Tiger" for her cunning, speed and agility to block opponents goals.

This includes: goalkeeper jersey, gloves, and quality instructions.
